Sometimes I have a very clear idea of what I want to make, sometimes, not so much.

When spring rolls around I'm usually ready to get outside and I can think of no  better place to be out exploring than northern Minnesota. Camping, hiking, kyaking and seeing critters that you don't see every day are still a thrill for this city girl.

This spring was no exception but I knew a trip as far north as I wanted to go wasn't going to happen this year. I couldn't stop thinking about the lupine and wild flowers, the National Forests I wouldn't be hiking in and Lake Superior.

Thus the inspiration for the "Up North" Saddle Ring collection.

Though I couldn't make it up north this spring, I still feel like I'm able to carry it with me through this collection.
